• 1979- 1983 Studied Moo Duk Kwan- Tang Soo Do. Awarded First degree Black belt in the 71^st Dan Classing by the Korean Soo Bahk Do Association. Black Belt registration number: 23141
• July 1983 – June 1987 Studied a variety of combative disciplines and meditation techniques while a cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point
• June 1987- June 1996 Taught combatives at the tactical unit level while assigned the United States Army as a Captain in the Infantry with assignments to the 82^nd Airborne Division and the U.S. Army Rangers.
• Sept 1996 Began the study of Hunyuan Chen Style Taiji with Zhouyang Lu, a student of Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang
• Jan 2000 Began teaching Chen style Hunyuan taiji at Kennesaw State University, Continuing Education facility. Won 2002 "Star
• Teacher" Award over 36 teachers for non-technical courses.
• Sept 2002 Began teaching Chen style Hunyuan taiji at the East Cobb YMCA, for the "Silver Sneakers", for senior adults over 60 program.
• Feb 2003 Began monthly Taiji sessions with the Minor Brain Injury Support group sponsored by the Peachtree Presbyterian Church, in Atlanta Ga.

• Attended the 2002 and 2003 Hunyuan World Seminars in Edmonton, Alberta Canada
• Attends all accessible Taiji seminars conducted by Hunyuan Masters

• June 2002- Wang Fengming Taiji Seminar at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw GA
• Sept 2003 – Chen Zhonghua Taiji Seminar at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA

Teaching Schedule: Teaches a minimum of three classes a week
